Armenia to receive swine flu vaccination
Armenia is aware of the swine flu and the vaccinations should arrive in October, there have been no cases of swine flu in Armenia but they are on high guard to prevent this disease from arriving. according to the world health organization will supply free vaccinations to an extent. Also according to the World Health Organization there has been over 300,000 cases of swine flu which only 4,000 of them were fatal.
Is Armenia Making a Mistake?
Minas Hairapetian, an Iranian Armenian visits his Homeland as much as he can. As an Armenian he loves Homeland, and only wants what would be best, and that does not include the re-opening of the frontiers. His response to the pre-signing between the Armenian-Turkish Protocolos is that "I wonder how people can neglect the historic past. Armenians were slaughtered in broad daylight in peaceful conditions. How can we trust Turkey today?" Makes you wonder, is Armenia making a big mistake in trusting Turkey?
Armenia, here we come!
The swine flu vaccination will reach Armenia in October. Treatment will begin as soon as the vaccination reaches Armenia. The World Health Organization will provide vaccinations for free to a certain extent, and the rest will be charged. According to the World Health Organization, there are 300,000 cases of swine flu around the world, and 4,000 have been fatal. There has not been a case of swine flu yet in Armenia. Personally, I would not want to receive the vaccine because nowadays, people who get vaccinated can and have died from it. Even though it can prevent me from catching the swine flu, I'm not taking any chances. Would you choose to get the vaccine?
Why do you deprive us from our homeland?
The article "Why do you deprive us from our homeland" is about Minas Hairapetian sharing his opinion about the Armenia-Turkey Protocols. He thinks that it is a bad idea and a dangerous thing to open the boarders. He states that one time the Turkish have slaughtered the Armenians and know we are just going to forget that and become friends?
I think that what BOTH Armenia and Turkey are doing is wrong. We can't just sign a peace treaty, we should ask for some of our land back and make sure that we have a protection for our people.
Do you think that Minas Hairapetian is right?
Fellow Armenians Speak Out Against Agreements With Turkey...
Minas Hairapetian, a Fellow Iranian Armenian who makes frequent trips to Armenia, comments on the talks with Turkey about recognition on the genocide.
" "Today even Erdogan speaks about the Armenian Diaspora. Some Armenians also think the Genocide issue should be resolved by the Diaspora. I am ready to swear that the whole Armenian nation will be endangered provided that the Armenian-Turkish border is reopened," "
Apparently Hairapetian believes that the recognition of the genocide should be the responsibility of the Diaspora not only the Armenian people in Armenia.
What are your thoughts on this? Are you confused?

Preconditions to open up relations with Turkey?
Turkey is proposing four preconditions to Armenia, which include resolving the Nagorn-Karabakh issue.
The first precondition is "to ensure progress in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict". In essence, they want the return of the liberated Nagorno-Karabakh territories to Azerbaijan.
The second precondition is the "creation of a committee historians to study the events that took place in the beginning of the past century." The committee would comprise of Armenian, Turkish, Swiss, and American historians. This is a very bad thing; they want to bury the issue of the Genocide with this "committee".
The third and fourth preconditions concern Serzh Sargsyan's visit to Turkey. The third precondition is that these must be signed my October 12th, and the fourth precondition is that the Armenian president must visit Turkey. Only after all these preconditions have been met will Turkey even consider opening up the borders and trade.
I consider this an insult to Armenia and I urge the president to reject these preconditions.

It has been three days on the Republic Squares, and the Armenians are still on a hunger strike and sit-in against the signing of the Armenian-Turkish protocols. Almost 280 participants have joined the strike and the sit-in, which is organized by the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF). According to the organizers there have been 40,000 people who have put their signatures against the pre-signed protocols between Yerevan and Ankara. There are others that would like to join the strike but are unable to do so.

Appreciating Music
Open Music Fest is a series of concerts in Yerevan, Armenia. Launched on July 30th, Open Music Fest brought together more than 150 Armenian and foreign musicians at the Moscow Cinema Open-air Theater. A unique quality of the festival was to unite the different type of genres of music. I think this event is very interesting and important because musicians of different genres can share their music and learn from each others' cultures.

ARF Protesting in Yerevan
If you've been following the Armenian news lately, you'd know that the Dashnaktsutiun or Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) has scheduled a protest near the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In response, the Armenian police have been gathering around the building for some time. When asked if the ARF protest had something to do with their activity, they avoided answering, saying that they were, "not aware of anything and the citizens can walk around the city quietly since there isn't going to be any action."
While what this "action" is is not yet certain, what is certain is that there aren't any representatives from the ARF at the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In fact, the ARF headquarters are crowded. When ARF members were asked about their plans they said that they, "are going to walk towards the Ministry and start the protest action."

Will Armenia and Turkey get along?
The Armenian president Serj Sarkisyan invited all the political parties to come and talk about the Armenia and Turkey issue. The topic will be about "freedom".
In 2008 November 20th the talk was about "Lernayin xarabax" conference. I think that the political parties coming and talking about the Armenia and Turkey issue is a very good of an idea.

Exhibition on the Life of The Armenians
On September 15-28 Yerevan's Moscow Cinema will host "My Dear Brother. Armenians in Turkey 100 years ago" about the life of the Armenian's. This was organized by the initiative Civilitas Foundation, and Turkish Birzamanlar. The exhibition will display hundreds of postcards by Orlando Kolumelo, portraying Armenian people's life in the Ottoman Empire in 1900-1910, and it will also include pictures of Armenian churches, schools, and other fascinating places of Armenia.
There was another "My Dear Brother" exhibition in 2005, with similar postcards, and pictures. This exhibition was organized by Osman Koker, who put together a book of that collection. This year he also plans on attending to the exhibition.
in the article "ARF is stronger than heritage" it is talking about how the turkish government has had very serious meetings over the armenian-turkish protocols. while the armenians have had a few meetings but none that have really been heard by the rest of the world more just in the armenian community. The rest of the world eaither dosent acknowledge the genocide or dosent think its a big deal. There are three different ideas of the genocide one which is that the turks just plain out deny the genocide. another thought on the genocide is by europe which is that it happened a long time ago and that the turkish government now shouldn't be responsable for the out come. Which in my eyes is like getting spit in the face because its basically saying that we should just forget about our ansestors that had to suffer through the genocide. the last idea on the genocide is that it happened it happened to the armenians 94 years ago and nothing happened to the turks. i feel that even though the genocide has happened 94 years ago that the turks now should have something happen to them any type of punishment would make the armenian community happy.

Olympics in Armenia?
That's Right! There is talk about
the junior Olympics games being held in Armenia in 2018. On September 9,2009 Gagik Tsarukian, President of he National Olympic Committee of Armenia indicated in a meeting with Jacques Rogge and the International Olympics Committee that Armenia and all its people would be proud and honored to host the junior Olympic games.
This is a great economic opportunity for Armenia, as well possible interest in Armenia and Armenians from other non-Armenians. Hopefully this plan follows through!
